I choose to combine a common household fruit and combine it with a squid. I interpreted two to one as a combination of two items. I learned you can combine two things to create a fictional drawing. This can be used as to illustrate two ideas in one picture. During this project I learned how to merge two picture into one. It was challenging to morph the two pictures together. I made the banana peel into the legs of the squid. I did this so I could use the natural shape of the banana to make an animal. I am very proud of my art.

Before this unit I thought useing others ideas was not original. I learned that when you use other people's Idea it can still be original but with credit to who you borrowed your look from. Now that I know this I am not as scared to borrow and change ideas if I want to. I know that I am showing my own work beacase it is my interpretation. I feell that I will now be able to come up with ideas on what to make It was hard to think of what to use for my artist steal. I also used oil pastel to challenge myself. But it kept smearing and didn't turn out 100% how I wanted but I think it looks great. In the past few weeks I have learned about perspective. I learned different was to portray ideas. I also know that when drawing it is important to use perspective when trying to make things look realistic. I now see art as a way to challenge myself. To see what I can make thinking outside the box. It was hard for me to make the Lego look proportionate to the size of a Human compared to our everyday object. If the Lego looked smaller than the object it didn't look right. It would seem fake. |
